Night into Day: The Beauty of SpaceX Rockets in Ultra Slow Motion – Koyaanisqatsi inspired trailer

With your help we’ll bring this film and outreach project fully to life: http://kck.st/2Kj1IeR We’ve already begun the tour to communities across the United States. Thank you so much for your support! A tribute and thanks to SpaceX and the people who make our grand adventure to space happen every day. All footage by http://cosmicperspective.com In this Koyaanisqatsi inspired trailer, two filmmakers use autonomous cameras placed at SpaceX launchpads to show the stunning and arresting beauty of our grand adventure to space. For the past 2 years, cinematographer Ryan Chylinski has been documenting the unfathomable emotion and excitement of rocket launches using innovative camera techniques. Traveling full-time coast-to-coast with his partner MaryLiz Bender, they formed the studio Cosmic Perspective to take audiences directly to the amazing astronauts, scientists, and transformative artists at the forefront of space exploration. Their story has been featured in Wired, Inverse, BoingBoing, and the NPR “Are We There Yet?” Podcast. Now filming a documentary short, they’re taking these stories and the beauty of space on tour to communities across the country in a project called Guidance Internal: Lessons from Astronauts. Music by Phillip Glass from the Koyaanisqatsi soundtrack, Prophecies, (ad revenue supports license).
