Chapter 1: Unique Perspectives

Immigrating to the US from Switzerland at five years old, Vincent discovered an innate talent for recognizing when things are visually balanced. This ability paired with a deeply passionate approach to his work has come to define his aesthetic and in many ways his life.

Chapter 2: New Beginning

Vincent’s career was kickstarted when he landed an internship at Reuters while studying at Northwestern University. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 2002 for his coverage of the Middle East following the events of September 11th for the New York Times. In 2008 Vincent directed the first ever commercial shot on a DSLR, changing his career overnight and announcing his presence in the filmmaking world.

Chapter 3: AIR In Motion

Nimia is proud to partner with Vincent Laforet to create the first 4K video installment of his critically acclaimed “AIR” series. The AIR series began as an editorial assignment about psychology and has since blossomed into a viral sensation viewed by over 40 million people. In Vincent’s mind, the streets of Manhattan looked like a computer chip and appeared to pulse like brain synapses. Take an inside look at how Vincent captured his unique perspective and shared it with the world.
